Welcome to the Bitty Bungalow!
Here’s some helpful info. There’s plenty more in the welcome packet to read through if you’d like when you arrive. Click here to read about my favorite nearby places to eat, details about the backyard and pool and view the Cat-alog. Cheers, Amber
WHEN YOU ARRIVE
Gate Lock – You’ll receive the gate code a day or two before you arrive via the Airbnb app. You will use this code to unlock and lock the deadbolt from the outside. Please lock the gate when you are going to be here or gone for a while. We want to make sure no one wanders into the pool accidentally.
WIFI
The wifi network name and password are on the front page of the welcome packet. It’s one of the first questions people ask!
GOOGLE HOME
To communicate with the Google Mini, just say her name, “Hey, Google” then ask her a question or give her instruction. If you’d rather not have her on, just unplug the cord from her and I’ll reconnect after you depart.
TV/CHROMECAST
If you want to watch TV, you can choose to watch some really weird channels that come through the antennae (sorry, no cable here) or you can watch anything from a service you subscribe to such as Hulu, Netflix, Amazon Prime, etc. via the Google Chromecast. Details to connect to the Google Chromecast are in the welcome packet provided in the Bitty Bungalow.
BEDROOM
Lights – The overhead lights and fan are controlled by the switch to the right of the bed (when looking at it). The pull with the voodoo dolls controls the light. The other, the fan.
Carbon Monoxide Detector – This is above the light switch. It’s not a thermostat even though it looks like it!
Thermostat – The thermostat is controlled by the white remote on the kitchen cart. The thermostat will run continuously at the temperature you select. It will not cycle on and off.
The light behind the table is controlled by a floor switch. Just step on the button (near the door to the bathroom) to turn the light on and off.
If you will be gone during the day, please turn off the thermostat to conserve energy. The unit is very powerful and will heat or cool the room very quickly when you return.
In Arizona, electricity costs 4X more from 3pm to 8pm M-F, our peak times. We do our best to shift our energy usage to non-peak times, and if you’d do the same, we – along with the environment – say thanks!
KITCHENETTE
· Silverware and cooking utensils are in the drawers in the cart.
· You have to power on the microwave to use it. It auto powers off when not in use.
Dishes – If you’d like me to run your dirty dishes through my dishwasher vs. washing them, I’m happy to do so.
BATHROOM
Fan – The fan switch is covered. It is set to turn on at a certain humidity level.
Lights – Switches by the bedroom door. The one on the right is the light. The little thing that looks like a remote above it controls the capiz shell lamp above the loo. The switch by the patio door controls the outside light.
Mirrored Closet – Hangers plus an iron and ironing pad. Iron on the silver side of the pad!
Please take care and ensure safe footing when using the bathtub.
